April 9, 2010
I met multiple designers at the DOLCE’ Pink Carpet Extravaganza rehearsals, and aside from Richard of Tie Concepts, I also took a liking to designer Chipo Mudzengi’s designs as well(Panashe Designs). She told me March 27th that she’ll be working towards doing her own fashion show, and getting her clothes in different boutiques, and immediately needed to start working on her catalog. Me being curious about the process of Fashion Merchandising, I had to accept, and by April 2nd we finally set the date for the coming Friday at 9am for our photoshoot.(April 9).

Friday, April 9th comes, its 8am, and I’m on my way to the photoshoot site I chose for her designs. Chipo gives me a call, and says only one of the models have come to her place to start make up. There were six total that were supposed to be there! At this point I made my way back home, and lounged so badly that I completely changed clothes over the two hour span, and even put on my house slippers. We kept in touch, and models trickled to her place one by one till we had 3 for the catalog.
Yet, again “Needless to say, the photoshoot went great!” We went to an art Expo in Dallas, and had access to almost the full building for our photoshoot, so I definitely want to thank the Vice President Shirley for letting us shoot there, and not having to pay for the space. I’ll have to go back to shoot there again sometime soon!
