Panashe Designs Fashion Collection

April 12, 2010

April 9, 2010

I met multiple designers at the DOLCE’ Pink Carpet Extravaganza rehearsals, and aside from Richard of Tie Concepts, I also took a liking to designer Chipo Mudzengi’s designs as well(Panashe Designs). She told me March 27th that she’ll be working towards doing her own fashion show, and getting her clothes in different boutiques, and immediately needed to start working on her catalog. Me being curious about the process of Fashion Merchandising, I had to accept, and by April 2nd we finally set the date for the coming Friday at 9am for our photoshoot.(April 9).

Friday, April 9th comes,  its 8am, and I’m on my way to the photoshoot site I chose for her designs. Chipo gives me a call, and says only one of the models have come to her place to start make up. There were six total that were supposed to be there! At this point I made my way back home, and lounged so badly that I completely changed clothes over the two hour span, and even put on my house slippers. We kept in touch, and models trickled to her place one by one till we had 3 for the catalog.

Yet, again “Needless to say, the photoshoot went great!” We went to an art Expo in Dallas, and had access to almost the full building for our photoshoot, so I definitely want to thank the Vice President Shirley for letting us shoot there, and not having to pay for the space. I’ll have to go back to shoot there again sometime soon!

World’s Next Top Ladies/Gentlemen of Class

April 9, 2010

April 4, 2010 – New MTV3 Reality Shows “Next Top Ladies/Gentlemen Of Class” began filming promotional video for the pilot show in Savannah. We were introduced to the  athletic coach, life coach, and other “family” for the shows. The children were shown doing various activites such as playing tennis and basketball, and working out in the gym. All of the guys were inducted into DiFo Fraternity, the first high school fraternity in history. Things have already been hectic, and everyone has been close up to this point, but I wonder what will happen when the challenges for the show are finally underway.

DOLCE’ designers show off new concepts

DOLCE The Pink Carpet Extravaganza

DOLCE The Pink Carpet Extravaganza

On Saturday March 20 2010, I contacted my friend Jackie Phillips, Fashion Director of Jphills Management (Model&Talent Agency) to catch up on events. She told me the DOLCE’ Pink Carpet Extravaganza was having their next fashion show rehearsals March 27th, and since I’m building up a fashion magazine business, I should attend to observe the models, and designers. Me being as curious as I’ve always been, decided to take her up on her offer.

I made my way to Bacys for the rehearsal to see that things were rather organized as I met with Jackie, and she introduced me to Jermal Patterson(House Producer). He gave me the female/male model roster as I observed them all giving him my list to get contact information from them and their agency owners (Jphills Management, Blake Models, etc). I met with a few designers in particular who’s designs I found interesting. Richard, owner&designer of tieconcepts.net  being one of them, we talked a bit and finally decided to set up an editorial photoshoot for his designs March 30th, the following Wednesday.

Needless to say, the photoshoot went great! We went to two different locations, and worked towards 4 to 8 different styles through variation of tie, and suits.

If you have any questions or comments, all you have to do is ask in a comment or email, and I’ll get back to you at my earliest convenience.

DiFi Sorority/DiFo Fraternity

New MTV3 Reality Show Performing at Victory Park

Feb. 14, 2010
I’ve had a great rapport with everyone I’ve met from DivaFiva, 1st Lady Productions, and MTV3. Things are finally boiling up to the point of filming the first episodes of DiFi’s(Executive Producer) World’s Next Top Ladies/Gentlemen of Class. The last performance for the children cast for the show was at Lakewood Theater, and Victory Park (American Airlines Center), and what a night it was!

After the performance we got a chance to meet Troy Marshall, Vice President of Interscope Records, as well as Roscoe Dash getting a chance to hear them speak on Roscoe’s career with the Interscope Family – Not to mention being their live for Roscoe Dash’s performance of “All The Way Turned Up”.

Later on that evening we got around to going to American Airlines’ Victory Park to have the children perform for publicity.
Luckily we were featured during the commercial break of the ongoing Slam Dunk Contest, doing a photoshoot to finish off the day.
